James Milton Jennings “Mort” of Chapel Hill passed away on March 9, 2010. He is survived by his father, James W. Jennings, brothers Charles and Patrick (Kimberly) Jennings, his sister Helen (Stephen) Daniels, his nephews Aaron Jennings, Benjamin, Timothy and Andrew Daniels, and niece Maxine Daniels. James graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College in 1977, and earned a MA and PhD in History from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 26 at 11 am at the Newman Center, UNC. He will be laid to rest at UNC Memorial Grove.
